研究方向:拟南芥、番茄和水稻中RNA干扰(RNAi)介导的抗病毒免疫的作用机理和应用。
病毒是一种严重危害人类和动植物健康的病原菌。RNAi介导的植物抗病毒免疫是真核生物中一种保守的、广谱的天然抗病毒免疫,而且几乎对所有的动植物病毒都起作用。我们实验室创立一种高效的遗传筛选体系来分离植物抗病毒RNAi免疫缺陷突变体,筛选到了一系列植物突变体,通过突变体发掘多个植物抗病毒RNAi新基因,并通过遗传学、分子生物学和生物化学、细胞生物学和生物信息学等方法揭示了这些基因的抗病毒作用机理。我们将通过挖掘更多的抗病毒RNAi新基因,深入阐明抗病毒RNAi的作用机理,并进一步探索其在防治动植物病毒病甚至人类病毒病中的实践应用。
